Flora Cosmica is a jewelry line for anyone wanting to make a statement. Established near Atlanta, GA in 2017, Flora Cosmica is young but –bold–. Through its’ use of bright colors and imagery, it allows the wearer to spread a message – without even having to say a word.
A one-woman show, Flora Cosmica is fully operated by Melanie Rivas, an independent artist and immigrant from Mexico. Beginning from the sketching process, to sculpting, painting, assembling, packaging, creating content, and everything in between, Melanie is right behind it all.
Melanie, on why she began making jewelry:
“I’ve always been pretty shy and quiet, but from a very young age, I realized that when I wore my favorite “loud” accessories, my personality shined through without me even having to talk. I started creating jewelry because I wanted to wear pieces that nobody else had – I always considered my style to be dynamic and versatile, and basically, I created what I wish existed.”
Every piece is created one-by-one with quality materials and lots of care and attention. Customers can feel confident wearing their pieces knowing that good intention, a love for the craft, and quality is always present. Flora Cosmica’s philosophy is: When something is done with good intentions, love, and authenticity, there is nothing to fear.
